Rebecca Sweeney

My name is Rebecca Sweeney, I am the Deputy Manager at More2Riverside.

I've been working in early years for over 7 years and have worked at More2Riverside since the nursery first opened. I have loved watching it evolve into the nursery it is today and feel so proud being a part of that.

I have a Level 3 Early Years Qualification. I started out as a practitioner, then a Deputy Room Leader before moving up to become a Room Leader, Third in Charge and then Deputy Manager.

I love looking after children and helping them develop; to watch them grow and knowing that I am a part of that is so rewarding for me. I am an extremely friendly person and I enjoy working with the parents and making new positive relationships.

Learning and continually developing my own practice is extremely important to me - I have completed my DSL training (DESIGNATED SAFEGUARDING LEAD), I am first aid trained, I have my food hygiene along with many other child development courses.

I have a very close-knit family; my twin sister also works at the nursery and my mum works at More2Childcare. I also have 2 children of my own; a daughter who is 14 and a son who is 8.

At the weekends I love spending time with my family, going shopping and making good memories.
