Early Years Development Manager

Hello! I'm Lauren, the Early Years Development Manager for More2Nurseries.

I've worked in early years for over 15 years, beginning my journey at just 15 years old through work experience in a local nursery. What started as a placement quickly became a passion, leading me to begin working as bank staff at 16. Since then, I've been fortunate to progress through a variety of roles, from Practitioner to Room Leader, Deputy Manager, Nursery Manager, and now Early Years Development Manager.

I joined the More2 family when More2Riverside first opened in 2019 and have loved being part of its growth ever since. Throughout my career I've remained passionate about continually developing my own knowledge and practice. I hold a Level 3 qualification in Early Years, am a Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL), SENCo and Paediatric First Aid qualified, and regularly attend conferences, training and professional development opportunities to ensure I stay up to date with the latest research, legislation and best practice.

In my current role, I work across all More2 settings, supporting our Nursery Managers and leadership teams to provide the highest standards of care and education. My role is incredibly varied, from coaching and developing staff, leading quality improvement and ensuring our nurseries remain inspection ready, to supporting recruitment, HR, safeguarding and operational leadership across the group. I work closely with our Childcare Director to ensure consistency, high-quality practice and positive outcomes for every child, family and member of our team.

Away from work, I'm a proud mum to two wonderful boys, Archie and Reggie. Becoming a parent has given me an even deeper appreciation of the trust families place in us every day. It has strengthened my belief that every child deserves to feel safe, valued, inspired and excited to learn, while every family deserves to feel listened to, supported and confident in the care we provide.

I genuinely believe there is no more rewarding career than working with young children. Watching them develop, discover new skills, and grow in confidence is a privilege, and I feel incredibly fortunate to play a small part in those important early years. I look forward to continuing to support our wonderful children, families, and teams across More2Nurseries.
