More2ChildCare Nursery

Opening hours, building and location

Open all year round from 8AM to 6PM, More2Childcare provides the highest quality childcare and early years education to up to 90 children a day, aged 3 months to 4 years.

The nursery is set back from the hustle and bustle of Trafalgar Road, East Greenwich, at the rear of the Forum, in a characterful building that was once a Victorian school. Beautiful double height ceilings and large windows let the light pour in and add to a feeling of space and calm across our six rooms. The baby room has an adjoining sleep and quiet room. All rooms and corridors are monitored by CCTV for added peace of mind.

More2Childcare is just five minutes walk from Maze Hill mainline train station and on main bus routes to Greenwich DLR and North Greenwich Tube.

Children at More2Childcare also have exclusive access to additional facilities at the Forum such as the SoftPlay area, the large hall for inside sports and the gardens.

More2 is a fantastic and I firmly believe this is the best nursery in the area. All of the 4 rooms have great strength in depth of the staff, from the baby room through to the over 3s. If you're looking for a nursery in the Greenwich area then this is absolutely the place to send your kid/s, couldn't recommend more highly, you won't be disappointed.

The staff in the baby room always make me feel at ease when I'm leaving Louie and I know he's in safe hands. Louie loves coming to More2childcare and as his Mum there's no other nursery I would want to send him to. Thank you for everything you do!

As a busy working mother, actively involved in my local community, I know how important it is to find good quality childcare, with people you can trust. The team behind More2 are professional and caring. I've seen what they've done with the Bridge in the Pleasaunce and how they've transformed it into a wonderful, creative and safe environment for both parents and children alike.

My three year old son has loved getting started at More2Childcare thanks to the fabulous staff and learning environment there. The team have put so much work into creating a warm, inviting and stimulating environment for young children and it really shows.

All staff at More2childcare have been so supportive throughout the whole process of Nawaals settling in at More2 and giving her the confidence of being independent.
Nawaal is a completely different child from the first session she did at More2childcare and now the nursery and staff will always be really special to us and Nawaal.

We were very lucky to have found such a fantastic nursery in Greenwich. The staff are brilliant and have built a strong relationship with my son and myself; and the facilities are great with lots of space. We will miss More2 when my son moves to school shortly, but they have prepared him fantastically for the transition. I can’t thank the team enough for everything they have done.”

One day I came across More2, I said to myself whilst listening to Eve during her tour, `this is what I am looking for` and I made my choice there and then. I never regretted my decision, I left my most precious thing in the world to the hands of More2 teachers with complete trust. Ada had a very good bond with her key workers, they were always friendly and kind. Her development amazed me!

Outdoor space

It can be unusual for nurseries in Greenwich to offer outdoor space on site, but More2Childcare has two good sized playgrounds where children can enjoy play, gardening, forest school activities and more. One playground is dedicated to under 2s and the other is equipped for over 2s.

Our highly effective learning programme

Children attending More2Childcare are supported in the seven areas of learning as stipulated by the Early Years Foundation Stage statutory framework (EYFS).To this we add our own highly effective learning programme, unique to More2Nurseries. This inspirational curriculum was developed to meet the needs of families attending More2Nurseries, to envelop contemporary issues and to think ahead to growing up in a digital age.

Value Added

All our families can benefit from free or low cost training courses co-ordinated by More2. Anyone who joins our waiting list becomes a More2Member and can access discounts and offers at local businesses and shops. We also invite you to join More2Parents our monthly coffee morning (held virtually for now).

FAQs

What is your staff retention like at More2Childcare?

Staff retention is significantly higher than the childcare sector average. Many of our practitioners have been with us since we first opened, which provides children with stability, familiarity and secure attachments — something families looking for quality childcare in Greenwich consistently tell us they value.

We actively promote career progression within our nurseries. For example, one of our Apprentices progressed to Deputy Manager through our internal training and mentoring programme. We also operate our own permanent internal bank staff team, meaning we very rarely use agency staff. This ensures consistency of care across our Greenwich nurseries.

How often do children go outside?

At More2Childcare (and all our nurseries in Greenwich), children access the garden at least twice a day, and often more. Outdoor learning is a key part of our curriculum because we believe fresh air, movement and exploration support physical development, wellbeing and confidence.

Babies may go outside slightly less frequently depending on sleep routines, but outdoor access remains a daily priority. We are fortunate to have two well-resourced garden spaces filled with climbing equipment, sensory activities and open-ended play materials, ensuring rich indoor and outdoor learning opportunities.

Do you provide meals at More2Childcare?

Yes — we work with Zebedees, a specialist early years catering company providing freshly prepared, nutritionally balanced meals for children under five.

Families choosing our Greenwich nursery can be confident that meals meet Early Years nutritional standards. All dietary requirements, allergies and cultural preferences are catered for, supporting children’s health and wellbeing throughout their time in our childcare setting.
