The early years are vital for establishing healthy eating habits as they can set the foundations for children’s future health and wellbeing. We involve children and parents at our nurseries in the food they eat and teach children about nutrition. At More2Nurseries we help children develop their independence so whilst at nursery they may enjoy cutting up fruit under supervision, making their own smoothies or learning how to serve and feed themselves when they are ready.
We serve breakfast, mid-morning snack, hot lunch, mid-afternoon snack and a cold tea from our five star hygiene rated kitchens.
Our partner of choice is an external caterer – Zebedees, who are experts in food and nutrition and provide fresh, delicious hot lunches and cold teas which are delivered daily.Menus change regularly and are developed with a nutritionist to ensure they meet recommended nutrient targets. We are also able to cater for all dietary requirements including allergies. The nursery supplies a breakfast of cereals, milk and fresh fruit from our five star hygiene rated kitchens.
More2Nurseries in a proactive member of the Healthy Early Years London group. We are currently awaiting our Bronze Award certificate at each nursery. This means we have met eleven targets from providing staff with appropriate training, involving parents though to providing suitable food for all.
“Our son follows a vegetarian diet and also has allergies. The nursery has been brilliant in catering for his needs. We have been beyond impressed by the variety of foods he enjoys. The selection is excellent and I’m so appreciative that they’re not only able to cater for him but also provide really great options that don’t feel any different to what all the other children enjoy. Very inclusive and thoughtful!”
