More2 Nurseries Staff
All nursery Practitioners who join More2Nurseries undergo a rigorous recruitment process which checks for suitability and safeguarding, experience of working with under fives, qualifications and knowledge of the early years.
As keyworkers to children, our staff must fit with the nursery culture and be warm, caring and dedicated professionals.
Did you know?
- At each nursery approximately 75% of our core teams have worked with us for two or more years.
- Over half our staff teams are parents and have first hand practical knowledge of caring for their own children, working with babies and knowledge of child development
- Over 70% of our permanent team are Level 3 qualified in Early Years or working towards level 3 NVQ qualification (the statutory guidance is one level 3 per room).
- Across both Nurseries we have two level six staff (who have completed an Early Years Degree), 4 staff members studying for their level 6 and 3 staff studying for their level 5.
Staff Training
At More2Nurseries our staff are motivated and supported to continuously raise their skills and qualification level. Up to 40% of our staff can be studying for NVQ and degree level courses at any one time.
All staff work on continual CPD training throughout the year and we dedicate a week every summer to staff training where we invite external experts into the nurseries to train staff.
The safety of children at More2Nurseries is paramount and therefore all our permanent staff renew their paediatric first aid qualification every three years with an annual refresher.Additionally, all staff review their food hygiene certificates, safeguarding, health and safety qualifications as soon as they have lapsed. We aim for all permanent (and also long-term bank staff) to have their paediatric first aid qualification.
