More2Riverside Nursery

More2Riverside Nursery School and Pre-School Greenwich opened in March 2019 to meet the rising demand for quality childcare from families moving into Greenwich. In April 2022 it was awarded Ofsted Outstanding at its first inspection. The hand-picked staff team at More2Riverside Nursery Greenwich are truly inspirational – continuously enhancing the learning experiences and standards of care offered to the babies and children. You can review all our policies here.

Situated within the prestigious River Gardens development, just moments from the River Thames, our modern and purpose-built nursery offers a truly unique setting. With views towards Canary Wharf’s iconic skyline, this is a modern, light-filled nursery designed specifically for today’s Greenwich families.

All of our Greenwich nurseries use the Famly app to keep parents closely connected to their child’s day. Through the app, families receive photo updates, detailed learning observations and daily information such as meals, sleep times and activities, helping them feel involved and informed wherever they are.

We work closely with our sister nursery, More2Childcare (also Ofsted Outstanding), just five minutes away — sharing expertise, training and leadership standards.

More2Riverside Nursery

Location and Rooms

Based off Banning Street within River Gardens residential development (off Banning Street), this purpose-built private nursery in Greenwich accommodates up to 67 children per day, aged 3 from 3 months up to 5 years. The nursery is open 8AM to 6PM Monday to Friday.

The single-storey building features three spacious rooms with floor-to-ceiling windows, wooden floors and high-quality educational resources. All rooms include CCTV for added peace of mind and have designated sleep and quiet areas. Our preschool room (Runners) benefits from its own toilets and a dedicated art and messy play studio, ideal for confident two- and three-year-olds who are increasingly asserting their independence and learning new skills.

We have had a very good experience working with More2Nurseries. We consistently find that children who come from More2 are well-prepared for school, displaying confidence, happiness, and strong social skills. It’s clear that More2 fosters an environment where children thrive and are set up for success”.

My son is 2 and attends more2 full time. We both love it. The staff are lovely and very experienced, the setting is fantastic (big bright rooms and a very nice outdoor space). I cannot recommend it highly enough.

As a first time mum, the prospect of putting your child into nursery can be daunting. But the staff at More2Riverside have impressed me from day one. They are not only well organised and inventive (baby yoga is just one example of the exciting activities they offer) but most importantly they are incredibly caring. It makes my life much easier knowing my baby is in such good hands every day.

It was such a wonderful experience to observe More2Riverside across the last six months. It was so lovely to see how much the staff all care about the children. The different staff members I observed were always incredibly enthusiastic and I could see how much the children’s eyes lit up for them. I think it is such a wonderful and containing environment for nursery-aged children. I feel that the children who attend are incredibly lucky to have this as their nursery experience.

FAQs

Do you accept salary sacrifice at More2Riverside

Yes, all our Greenwich nurseries accept salary sacrifice childcare schemes through providers including Enjoy Benefits and Yellow Nest.

Salary sacrifice allows eligible working parents to pay nursery fees from their gross salary before tax and National Insurance deductions, which can significantly reduce childcare costs. Many families using childcare in Greenwich benefit from this scheme, and our team is happy to guide parents through the process.

How does the 15 and 30 hours funded childcare work?

Eligible working parents in England can access 15 or 30 hours of funded childcare per week during term time, depending on age and eligibility. This government scheme supports many families seeking affordable childcare in Greenwich.

While the funding rate does not fully cover the true cost of delivering high-quality early years education, we are committed to supporting families to maximise their entitlement. We explain clearly how stretched funding works across the year and provide transparent fee breakdowns so parents understand their options.

Can More2Riverside nursery follow our child’s routine from home?

At our Riverside nursery in Greenwich, each room follows an age-appropriate routine. Babies and toddlers have schedules that can reflect individual sleep and feeding patterns, but we tend to find that children start to follow the general nursery routine quite quickly along with their peers. Preschool children follow a more structured day to support school readiness.

We work closely with families during settling-in to mirror home routines where possible, particularly for sleep and comfort. Our goal is to ensure children feel secure while gently adapting to the rhythm of nursery life.
